The word of 'luludyi' is probably one of the most well-known expressions among non-roma, meaning flower.Nikolett Rostas, Luludyi got her Roma nickname from her grandfather. One of my dearest memories was on the baptising celebration of my sister, that when my grandfather stepped onto the table with a dance, singing: 'Muri cini luludyi!' (My little flower!), to welcome the new member of our family. This is how Niki became Luludyi. In our family besides holding the traditions, it is very important to teach the children in the school, and as for this, my 17-year old sister is also studying as a shop-assistant.
Luludyi is recommending to all Romani girls to be proud of their origin, roots, and let they do everything that is possible to learn, to have a degree. Have a look at her glance, and happiness is on her face and in her moves while she is dancing!
